The Milky Way is the galaxy which is the home of our Solar System together with at least 200 billion other stars; though more recent estimates have given numbers around 400 billion-with own Sun being atypical specimen -and their planets, and thousands of clusters and nebulae, including almost all objects which are not galaxies on their own .
As a galaxy, the Milky Way is actually a giant, as its mass is probably between 750 billion and one trillion solar masses, and its diameter is about 100, 00 light years .It has three main components: a disk, in which the solar system resides , a central bulge at the core ,and an all encompassing halo. Radio astronomical investigations of the distribution of oxygen clouds have revealed that the Milky Way is a spiral galaxy. Therefore, our galaxy has both a spiral structure, and a prominent nuclear region.
Our solar system is situated within a smaller spiral arm, called the Orion Arm. Sometimes labeled “O”.This smaller intermediate arm connects the next inner arm and the next outer arm. The next inner arm, sometimes labeled -I, is called the Sagittarius Arm, the next outer arm, labeled +I, is the Peruses Arm. At least one even outer arm and two more inner arms have been identified.

Energy balance is the difference between calorie intake (from food & drinks) and calories out - through our metabolism & energy expended during daily activities.
Any change in body weight is the result of an imbalance between energy intake and expenditure. People gain weight gradually because most days they're in a state of positive energy balance (more calories in than body requires) and any excess is stored until the individual eventually realizes they've gained a few pounds.
In order to lose fat weight, our body needs to be in a negative energy balance. Sounds simple but this doesn't mean a negative energy balance for a few days, here and there it must be a consistent, gradual process. Imagine body fat stores as thousands of little dots all over a piece of paper only one dot at a time can be erased.
Weight loss confusion occurs because there's a physiological adaptation to under eating in order to balance energy within the body and help maintain weight quickly. Weight needs to be balanced quickly because if our ancestors couldn't find food for several days they would simply waste away, instead we can go for months without food! Even overeating causes an adaptive response so in order to gain further weight; more excess energy must be consumed. Although energy balance helped our ancestors survive in times of starvation, it now causes frustration for the dieter attempting to lose weight. Some cut enough calories to lose a pound of fat but when only a small amount is lost they often believe it’s because they're meant to be that way.
